Open House

August 23rd, 2019

The Greenville Free Medical Clinic’s Open House gave community members the chance to learn about the clinic’s impact. The event included tours of the facility, light bites, drinks, and conversation.

Eye Clinic Opening

July 29th, 2019

Thanks to a grant from Fluor Golf for Greenville, the Greenville Free Medical clinic had the opportunity to make updates to their Eye Clinic. With the grant, the Clinic was able to purchase a Digital Acuity System, Retina Camera, Visual Field Analyzer, New Slit Lamp, and Indirect Ophthalmoscope. The Eye Clinic has served over 500 patients a year, providing 3 clinics per week serviced by almost 20 volunteer ophthalmologists. Doctors Nick McLane, Bill Caldwell and Doug Stokes served as steering committee concerning the purchase of updated eye equipment. Lombard Industries worked to help get the most equipment at the best price. Eye Clinic Nurse Katherine McConnell and her husband Dan helped organize the move to the larger space, along with RSS Construction’s Jody Redmond. Special thanks to volunteers from Auburn University Alternative Student Break program and Christ Church Episcopal High School who did the hard work of clearing out and painting the new eye room.

Walk with the Docs

March 30, 2019

Held each March since 1999 in recognition of the American Medical Association 'Doctors Day', Walk with the Doctors invites walkers of all ages to the Downtown Clinic to receive a t-shirt and refreshments, and to enjoy a pleasant walk through beautiful Falls Park. This family-friendly event recognizes and honors the volunteer Medical Professionals who give their time so generously for the Greenville Free Medical Clinic patients.

Valentine’s Brunch

February 24 2019

This year we were excited to host a new outreach and fundraising event. Our brunch in the Village of West Greenville allowed for informal discussions with local Cardiologists. Too often we do not receive valuable information on heart health until we are displaying symptoms! Thank you again to our physicians and participants!
